Employees rarely quit jobs. I've found they mostly quit toxic work environments, innefectual leadership, and poor management.

It’s easy to put up with dull or even unfulfilling work when you need a paycheck to live, it’s soul sucking to also put up with a workplace that is toxic or poorly managed on top of it. Leaving a job for the latter reason is survival.

I just quit a bad boss and took a job making less money. Also, quit upcoming org changes that didn’t align with my values. I absolutely loved my job, but my values were worth more than the money and I knew I didn’t want to work for that person . She was put in the interim exec director position and that was the it for me. I knew that was likeley coming and started looking before it became official. Fuck a dollar, I want to feel good about my self when I go to bed at night.

And shit wages. It's easier to quit and find a job that will pay more up front than waiting around for a .25 cent raise after a year of work for a shit employer.

Mhmm as someone who has a chronic neurological condition from my job yeah …. Between the toxic building and toxic management 🙄. The cherry on top was then trying to quiet fire me after medical leave for brain surgery. Fuck you crapazon
