Love the tone knob - especially on a Strat!

A whole lot of guitars have useless tone knobs - but when you play one with a good quality proper taper pot, with appropriate resistance and properly spec’d cap you’ll see how bad most tone pots are and how useful a good one is.

Tone knobs are fine, the funny thing is when people convince themselves you need some sort of mystical rare Brazilian wood species to modify the sound as it would be far too easy to just use tone knobs, amp knobs and playing technique to achieve that result.

Take your tone knob off if you want to. We did it in the 80’s, too. Nothing new under the sun. I use mine all the time. The checks still clear.
