Israel’s genocide in Gaza has wiped out around 6% of its population, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics. And the Palestinian death toll continues to rise. At least 46,376 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, including 17,492 children. On New Year’s Day, at least 22 Palestinians were killed across Gaza. Many injured Palestinians are unable to seek adequate medical treatment because Israel has destroyed most of Gaza’s hospitals.
