Munich Airport, queue at the gate for a flight to Houston, week of the total eclipse last year. US family next to me (I saw the passports they were holding), a group of Astronomy enthusiasts, all wearing patches of their association from East Europe, near us. The American woman is not happy: "Oh no, let's hope they're not seated next to us. Everyone knows astronomers don't shower and always stink. I don't want to smell them for all our flight". Wtf ma'am?
