I grew up in North London. A certain area populated by Greek and Turkish people before the influx of Asians who Idi Amin kicked out. There is an area called "Greek Lanes" (Green Lanes). areas around thatwe had shops open all hours and we could always get what we needed without Thursday half closing etc etc. I never realised how lucky we were in the late 60's/70's for almost 24 hour EVERYTHING. Coming home from clubbing in the 80's we could stop at 4am and get our weeks shopping. So lucky..
