I took this photo with my phone at 1:49 PM after toasting 2025 with my friends excited about the New Year. It was their 1st time in New Orleans & the French Quarter. At 2:45 AM we walked away bc we decided not to wait in line for food after all. At 3:15 AM the terrorist attack happened. We were so fortunate but woke up heartbroken, devastated, shell-shocked knowing we were just smiling & laughing with the victims. Life can change in an instant. 🙏 ♥️ to all of the victims neworleans

My friend had lost his phone earlier in the night, otherwise we probably would have stayed out later. I feel bad feeling as shaken as I do.
