For endurance and functional purpose they're superb. When Rob Oberst explain the risk to reward ratio and factors though I couldn't disagree that doing 1RM deads and squats all the time do cause grief on your lumbar.. doing a 1RM occasionally isn't too bad but people who do them every week or 2 or possibly monthly are just creating potential issues 🤷🏻♂️
