You all know the worst rule in all of sports is targeting. If you’re gonna have the dumbest rule in all of sports, in what universe or dimension was this not targeting???? Was this because they want Texas to play on? This is what the textbook definition of targeting is when they teach referees. If they don’t call this, for targeting then let’s get rid of the stupid rule all together. I can’t wait to hear the explanation in the post game interviews.

The contact was made with a face mask to face mask, bit the crown of the helmet. 16 wasn't launching into the hit, just connected at the time offender turned into the defender. You could make a case for defenseless, but ASU turned into the defender to see the defender and the hit. Where as the other play in question, ASU defender hit the receiver in the head while Texas WR was tracking the ball up for grabs with no room for bracing himself for hit
