14 was tough for me with my son.

I’m dealing with 13 right now and it’s pretty fukn irking and hard so God help me for the rest of the ‘teens.

12 for both, they are now 18+

grab your last non embarassings hugs at 12 because from 13-30 you will be enemy number one...with the occassional slipup hug from them during their 13th year but then its time to strap up and learn reverse and sideways psychology to be able to manipulate them properly...dont hold back with the chanclas, they will thank you later and helps hone their defensive street moves...oh good luck

Successfully motivating them to want to succeed.

10-12 was the worst for us, at least so far (Covid didn’t help…). She’s 15 now and has matured a lot. I feel it’s unlikely she’ll regress to the sullen, moody behavior of her pre-teens. Every kid is different, though.

Lack of sleep in infancy was the worst for me. Every other age was fine. They are now 18 and 20.

As a 45-y-o mother and teacher, based on colleagues and relatives, I say 25-86 is hardest.

I found late middle school hardest with both my kids. Puberty and the hell that is MS
