I'm in full on panic mode right now. I spent $1k on a book cover for my book. The comps I got back? AI-generated. When I told them that I don't endorse AI in covers or want it in mine, they simply told me that my project is too difficult to produce without heavy AI image generation. Even after I told them I'd pay for stock photos. I'm... shook. $1k is a lot for someone with no job, who has saved up for a good cover, who THOUGHT she was getting a high-quality cover. Permission to cry?
