Did anyone see that Mos Def video where he quoted Kurt Cobain saying “the only people who truly love music are musicians”? He went on to say, “those who really love music, try making it at some point.” I think that’s a more accurate statement. But it doesn’t mean they share what they make or they’re good at it. I play around on a keyboard all the time while listening to records just for me. Furthermore, the people who really love music are the ones who support musicians like they’re a plug.
