Six weeks ago, my life changed forever after I survived being shot by a man that I do not know. I have a long road of recovery ahead of me both mentally and physically. Most days are difficult with the trauma and the pain, but I’m learning to take it one day at a time. I’m learning to give myself grace and to lean on my community for support. My whole life has been changed forever, but I have a new path to forge ahead and a new life to make for myself. It’s hard, but I’m a fighter!
