single payer doesn't mean you can't have private insurance.

You do realize that the infrastructure is already in place. Do you know anyone who isn’t counting the minutes u til they are old enough for Medicare?

Medicaid and Medicare operate at a much lower cost than private insurance and are ran rather efficiently. Why wouldn’t they be the model instead of the imaginary mess you’ve conjured up?

We are paying through the nose now! Insurace companies are for PROFIT!!!!! With Medicare there is NO middleman & no denials for anything your DOCTOR deems necessary unlike these big for profit insurance companies who deny legitimate claims just to line their pockets ! Universal is a NO BRAINER. If we have ONE major health occurrence we are SCREWED with the current system

I think the opposite. I would much rather have a government bureaucrat making decisions about my insurance coverage than a claims adjuster trying to earn a bonus at an insurance company trying to meet quarterly earnings expectations. And I would happily pay more taxes for it, too, if it would end my premiums and deductibles.

Unpopular American opinion: Single payer health care would boost entrepreneurship because people would have more confidence to leave their jobs and go into business for themselves.

This from someone who hasn’t experienced Medicare which is far superior to private insurance in every way. Ditto for VA.
