It breaks my heart that Luther Vandross' was known for his love songs but didn't FEEL romantic love. He says he spent more time waiting for love and having unreciprocated love than BEING in love. The song "Any Love" completely changed meanings after this doc. That struggle with coming out and his desire not to upset the world overriding his own desires.
