Even when I was in Grade School in the 60’s, we were taught about the “Nine Bay Area Counties..” in our State of California approved curriculum… Alameda, San Francisco, Contra Costa, Santa Clara , San Mateo, Marin, Solano, Sonoma, Napa.

一小時內	Joseph P Murphy josephmonkolr	I’ve been an SF Bay Area resident all my life living in San Mateo County, Marin, and San Francisco. I always understood San Jose as part of the “Greater Bay Area”! Santa Clara County was part of the Archdiocese of San Francisco until the late 1970s.
