You can us "Ms" it doesn't tell her marital status. But try telling Ms to a married pregnant woman... I dare you. Women are the ones enforcing this idea, not men

Why would a pregnant married woman object to Ms.? Because no one would know she is married and society, even in the year of our lord 2025, would consider her a slut.

I'm married, and I've always gone by Ms., including when I've been pregnant. I'm not an outlier in this. It's normal to say Ms. unless a woman tells you otherwise.

Married woman here. Thrice pregnant. And I’m a teacher so I use my honorific all the time. I exclusively use “Ms.”

Ms traditionally denotes an unmarried woman who is over the age of 18. It was historically used to identify a woman who was divorced. There is no reason to refer to a person by any gender specific add on. If a person has earned a title then use it eg: Dr.

I think you can use Ms if you pronounce it properly as Mz, otherwise it does sound like Miss. I'm happily married, have been for 30 years, but use Ms because it's no one else's damn business if I'm married or not, and affects nothing to do with what I'm doing at the time I provide my title.

I’m sure your 1 off experience is true of all situations. Ms is the only acceptable one for me, pregnant or otherwise.
