Saying ‘reading’ means ‘consuming information’ is a bit of a stretch. For example, if a parent reads their child a bedtime story, no one would say the child is ‘reading.’ They’re listening. Reading and listening are different processes, and I think it’s important to recognize that distinction. 🤷🏽‍♂️
