Yesterday we had to switch subway cars because a homeless person was casually smoking a cigarette in it. The day prior a homeless person was throwing a bag full of sandwiches into the seats around him and spitting his food on the floor. We also have all the recent news of people being pushed onto the tracks and set ablaze in the subway. Why does NYC not have dedicated transit security like every other first world metro?? The MTA is a sad joke.
