This scene is so bad, the movie really tries to be realistic but the landing would have killed him for sure...

OK, I know we all love the gliding cape, but that was really introduced by the Dark Knight movies, and then used in the Batman games. But Batman went decades without being able to glide with his cape. I actually like the wingsuit because I see it as more of a "phase 1" idea. Sort of a middle ground between a classic and more modern Batman

He’s learning bro, trial by error. I read somewhere this scene, it was supposed to be his first time as batman attempting this, hence why he was so scared when he got up on the ledge

One of the best scenes of the movie I thought. You could see him shit himself for a second , as you would. Then trust it anyway and go for it. Epic take.

He has a fear of heights it’s apart of his character development lol you literally see him wince at the thought of diving off the building and the construction site he rappels down instead of glides. I actually think it’s a brilliant thing to have him start off petrified of flying

....why? Why are you assuming he had the glider from day 1? He's constantly getting new ideas and developing new tech, who is to say that the glider isn't a new addition to his arsenal?
