This has been disheartening, as true friendship should not be transactional.What I yearn for is a bond where both sides are invested in knowing each other’s thoughts, dreams, and struggles without hidden agendas or material expectations. A friendship like this is based on authenticity, where both people feel valued for who they are, not for what they can offer.Perhaps, finding such connections requires patience and discernment, as well as setting clear boundaries and recognizing red flags early.

I agree, it’s pretty rare to find a deep meaningful connection nowadays.🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m taking a break from even looking. What baffles me is grown folks not being upfront/honest about their intentions and still playing games. Nobody has time for that!
