Actually the W is a mater lectionis…a placeholder for a vowel sound.
Uau is from paleo Hebrew It’s a u sound. a long uu sound was later turned to w —but the W doesn’t make the w sound.
W is Biblical Hebrew also written for U
V is modern Hebrew
Yahw isn’t consistent in biblical names.
