As a therapist I’m always hopeful that my clients are retaining the tools we share in therapy. However, I find that the “aha moments” I think are profound aren’t always what they catch. Usually it’s the subtle things like noticing their smile when they usually frown, acknowledging even the slightest progress or remembering the name of someone they mentioned sessions ago. Which shows me that people tend to remember the moments they felt seen. What has been a profound moment for you in therapy?
