Your best bet for donations is mutual aid organisations - so Palestinians already in Gaza. The money does go through (with some value deducted, that’s just the way it is right now) and they distribute it best they can amongst housing, healthcare and food. Have a look at the Sameer Project and Watermelon Relief for example! Also buying eSIMs for journalists and rescue workers, search for Connecting Gaza, there’s a huge need for them

And apps like No Thank You to help decide where (not) to spend your money when you do your own shopping.

The direction I would like to see us take, because boycotts and protests are clearly not moving the needle fast enough (and rarely do in contemporary U.S.) , is to start disrupting the daily lives of the people in power who make the decisions to continue such brutality. Should they get to sleep peacefully at night, attend dinner parties, relax with some Hulu when they are making choices that end thousands and thousands of lives? I think not.

You can volunteer your time with an organisation that offer English speaking sessions on zoom with Palestinian youth to practice their English. I have done that for over a year and I love it. They have become dear friends.

I support a family directly through their go fund me. At least that way they can get what they need ….. if they can find it of course.
