My New Year’s dinner was excellent. When I was younger I didn’t participate in this tradition. As a woman in my 40s, I’m learning more about where these traditions came from. Now I find it meaningful to honor what was sacred to the ancestors and practice what made them strong, what connected them, what carried them through.
