Definitely a democrat if that’s how you think it works…. Shrug no such thing as a good drunk driver but there is good armed people!

Well when they made a law to stop drinking and driving there was the same groups of people saying it wouldn’t work, and it was passed and a lot of drunk driving accidents decreased. So maybe it would work a bit huh.

By the numbers for 2022. In 2022, there were an estimated 105,415 deaths were attributed to alcohol related causes. In 2022, motor vehicle traffic deaths in the U.S. totaled 42,514. In 2022, there were 51 school related fatalities including students and staff. As awful and tragic as school shootings are, why aren’t we talking about alcohol related deaths and vehicle related deaths? Is it because it is not convenient and would impact everyone and not just legal gun owners?

Nope, there’s a huge difference. The only purpose of having a gun. Is to hurt or kill living beings. Bad or good, a robber or a child, an angry bear or an innocent dog. You drive to move from point A to B, if you hurt someone it’s an accident. The purpose of the car isn’t to hurt anyone ( can be used for that, of course).

I love seeing people arguing about gun control while simultaneously ignoring the fact, not opinion FACT, that these issues (drunk driving, shootings, hell even robberies and many other victim crimes) are ALWAYS the result of an underlying issue, regardless of the tool. Why arent we trying harder to fix those issues?

Or, now hear me out... have some kind of registration system for vehicles and some licensing for the drivers to make sure they are capable of driving, maybe even a written test and if we really want to get safe maybe some kind of practical test to make sure you know how to drive. But that's just crazy talk.

If they truly cared about keeping drunk driver's off the hwy they would be giving free breathalyzers in the bar or club parking lot.
