Yes! Same. People misinterpret me all the time because of my lack of facial expressions & tone of voice change.

My bf just doesn't understand this. He thinks I'm giving him 'attitude' or am angry when I'm just... not masking??? I had a big day and want to just shut off? I work retail and administration - I don't want to have to be be switched on at home all the time, too... 😞

I take orders all day for work, and sometimes I forget to be super fake and just talk in my normal “tism” voice as I call it and people get so upset and say I’m rude. It’s draining and I try so hard to not take it personally. 😭 to be fair, I’ve had to use a fake voice my whole life and I’m only recently unmasking …Knife to the gut that it’s consider rude to just have a more monotone voice 🫠🫠
