The value in stocks is from their price and not from consistent cash in form of dividends to service your debt A rental house primarily relies on the cash flow From rent to service the underlying debt, and is thus much less risky (though most definitely not low-risk) compared to stocks.

Then go purchase your own instead of complaining about landlords (not specifically you, but in general for people complaining)
