As a third generation therapist, I’ve never labored under the misconception that therapists are unusually saintly people. This is actually freeing. Therapy is a craft that we hone through effort and practice - not an ability bestowed upon us for being especially morally upright human beings. You don’t have to be a perfect angel to be an amazing therapist.
