Sortof tabletop but played through Discord, roleplaying in text channels with the table part being top down art, but more often than not just descriptive text, I used to host a star wars (the Clone Wars) roleplaying game that got to 9 years before we pulled the plug, still look back on it with pride, we designed our own system, expanded on it, and ended up balancing it really really well. Just life gets in the way as people grow up and we had no sustainable source of new players.

Cyberpunk Red. My friends and I bought the book, attempted to read through the rules, and got so overwhelmed by it all. We haven’t picked it up since.

What do you mean by crunch? Like, crunch in the videogames industry?

Not one I am particularly fond of, but my first game ever back in 1996 was MERP (Middle Earth Roleplaying Game), which basically involved declaring what you want to do, then rolling on a table that would guide you to one of several other tables, that would guide you to one of several other tables, and this would go on for a few minutes until you determine the result of your action. Good job, you tickled the troll's toe with your arrow. One I actually like is Shadowrun though (2nd or 3rd Ed.)
