How do you expect to pay for government services without taxes?

Nobody lives in those fucking states

As someone that lives in an income tax state surrounded by sales tax states, I like the idea of sales tax but it has to be done right. A flat rate sales tax on luxuries / genuinely unnecessary items that has absolutely no loopholes would be great. That way everyone pays the same percentage, but rich people foot the bill by buying unnecessarily expensive stuff
