There's a clinic in the same building my company located at always provide "extra" stuffs. One day I'm not feeling and need a medical leave, they gave me an entire bottle of vitamins that charge my company issued medical card nearly RM100 (for the vitamins only). I guess that the though process behind this is that since most people don't really care how much they charged bcoz we are not paying out of our pocket so they might as well try to make that extra bucks

Exactly. Experience this multiple times & i wonder despite we refused to take the additional medicines, do they really removed it frm the insurance system? Now, i kept remind Doctors to charged accordingly as my HR will call them if the amount beyond RM150.

Doctors out there..do not prescribe unnecessary drugs to pt, is unfair I’m a private clinic’s doctor too I am those kind of doctor, when pt ask for extra medications which i think is not necessary for that point of moment, i refuse to prescribe Still, i think buy ur medication in pharmacy without prescription or a proper diagnosis is dangerous I once had a pt with delayed menses went pharmacy otc meds to induce menses was then found out pregnant when she come to clinic with abnormal bleeding
