It’s true that opinions are shaped by various factors, but there’s still a level of agency involved in how we engage with those opinions. When people consistently reject knowledge, reason, and intellectual discourse in favor of emotional reactions or shallow arguments, that does contribute to the problem of anti-intellectualism.
