Meh depends but my current partner doesn’t like rats but I got 6 and they treat them with kindness and get them birthday and Christmas gifts and helps me with the cage when I’m not well. So although she doesn’t like them at all she’s nice to them so it balances out. we are both also allergic but obvs I still handle them but they prefer not to. I think it’s valid. They also weren’t cat people but I got 2 anyways and she loves them even though they annoy her. Haven’t gotten rid of her 😂

My boyfriend is literally allergic to dog and we still have my dog I got before we met. Does that answer this? If a partner sees the value in you and a relationship with you they will find a way to make life with your pets you had prior to meeting them work regardless of if they like animals or have allergies. A true life partner will see and understand the importance your pets have in your heart and will do what they can, even if it makes them uncomfortable.
