Never understood the unspoken rule of having to visit a new country every time you go on an international trip. If you wanna go to Mexico 15 times, Puerto Rico 10 times, and the Bahamas 5 times in a row, GO. Emerge yourself in the culture, learn the language, learn the slang, connect with the people, make friends! To me, that’s way cooler than being able to say you’ve made random pit stops around the world.

Some do it because when they apply for visas, demonstrating travel history is crucial. Some want to see as many countries in one go because getting visas may be a challenge. Not all passports are made equal. Or maybe they just haven’t found that country that they want to come back and explore more of yet.
