I've lost 170 pounds -- 1/2 of it with the help of GLP1's (I'm diabetic). My doctor was very concerned about muscle loss, so I've been in the gym for months doing strength training (which I love) and cardio (which I don't). I know muscles are great for burning calories, but I just feel so much better in my body now -- for me, that's the real bonus of working out with weights.
