Yesterday I saw a big author saying his local bookstore wasn't his fave because it didn't have his book in stock & wasn't excited to meet him, & while I totally understand WHY that would be disappointing, there's A LOT of reasons why the book may not be in stock, & why folks might not be enthusiastic to meet them. Maybe they sold out of the book. Maybe they didn't order it because that type of book historically hasn't sold well there. Maybe the bookseller was NEW or doesn't read that genre.
