Chiming in only because nobody’s mentioned — frequently advised in the 80s/90s for high-end denim. If you have room in your freezer, put pants in a Ziploc (or better yet, reusable bag) & in the freezer — kills bacteria (& 🔺stink). That said, in the absence of spills/sweat, I tend to rewear jeans “until they could walk on their own,” as my Mom used to say. That means fewer wearings now as the spandex % has risen & they stretch out sooner.
