Watching K-dramas / any Korean shows dubbed? 😳 That’s like adding ketchup to kimchi🤦🏻♀️…it just doesn’t work! Stick with the original Korean audio and read those sweet, sweet subtitles!

Dubbing just feels jarring. It’s like actors like Ji Chang Wook and that little stutter type thing he does - having someone try to imitate that in a fake US accent would make you want to rip your ears off!

I accidentally did this when I started No Gain, No Love on Amazon Prime. I almost puked. JK. I didn't. It was odd to say the least. The dubbing did not capture the emotions they were conveying with the facial expressions.

I’m trying to get my family and friends into kdramas and they do not like subtitles! It hurts my soul every time I have to rec a show using the dub as a bribe! 😭

A lot gets lost in translation even in subtitles. Just learn hangul, it's easy and it is designed to be simple. English is by far more complicated to learn tbh. 호아이팅!!
