Looking for a new church in a new city. It’s not fun. Here are my top 3 immediate “nopes” when I’m looking at church websites: 1. “Our leadership team” (or elders) = a row of white males. No matter how much you say about valuing women or diversity — or even “women are important to ministry & the only role reserved for men is elder” — you clearly practice a hierarchy of gender (& likely race) that I don’t want any part of. 2. A flashy home page with looping video and/or shots of services 1/
