These comments are wild. Lowering prices would increase accessibility. Increased accessibility means more sales which means more money. That, and everything is literally donated with many being ran by volunteers.

Many thrift stores are charities that raise money for their local communities. They also have to pay bills and their employees (unless it's completely volunteer run). I do agree that at many thrift spots, the prices have gotten out of control - which is unfortunately just a reflection of the state of the world: most things are expensive/inaccessible and many people are being exploited.
