I am immobile at present with severe depression. You guys on here are the nearest thing to friends and family. I would be grateful for any help or support you could give This seems to be a kind community so i felt safe to post this rather than keeping in my head

3 小時內	Leroy Cook amazedat82	I would like to help, Dawn but, I am just an old guy who has been there. You might try dividing a blank sheet of paper into two columns and listing the thing you have to be thankful for on the left side and the things you have to be depressed about on the right.
4 小時內	Ashlin Edwards olderbutnotdead	Take it one minute at a time. If you can, get out of the house and take a walk. Breathe in fresh air. Greet anyone you see with a Good morning - whether or not they answer. You exist. You matter.

Because most of the country has a bad weather day today, I’ll assume you do too. So make it a pj movie day. It helps me immensely to not be alone on days like this. You’re not alone and you’ve got this!!!!!!
6 小時內	Diane Elaine di_t1308	Aww feel for you. I suffer from depression too , esp early january as my dad died 25 yrs ago today and mum 15 yrs ago on 31st. Feel i too am getting old and my thoughts are all about that. I know i should treasure each day but this doesnt help. I hope your depression lifts soon , i feel its easier to talk to strangers about it than family. People on here understand and you are very much NOT alone. We all care ! Hope you can get out in the fresh air as i find that helps.

I am a teacher and had a two week winter break during that time I only spend a few hours with human contact. I have found that I am my own best friend and love the solitude. All I can say is find your joy and drown yourself in it. If you embrace the depression it will become who you are. You are not alone. Blessed Be!

Please seek help from your doctor or a professional trained in depression. You can get through this and feel like a new person! Will be praying for you! 🥰
