A large portion of my income is royalties from my illustrations for greeting cards at Trader Joes. They sell a very large numbers of cards. I would definitely say people are still buying greeting cards. I think it will always feel special to receive a card. In fact it makes me incredibly happy just thinking about all those people who receive one of my cards, opening the envelope and looking at the card with a big smile!
