Wife and I have used a super-automatic coffee machine for 12 years (2 machines). Uses whole beans, and we make an average of 6 cups a day. We spend $9/pound of beans, which makes about 80 cups, 12 cents each. If we used a Keurig we would have spent 30 cents per cup ($8,000) and generated 25,000 waste pods. I cannot imagine it would be as enjoyable.
