My American Express platinum has paid - for my broken cell phone ( 1200 dollars) - replaced my lost and broken luggage - overnight our passport to Belgium after we forget it in Paris - Paid for lounging and food when we got stuck in Iceland due to a Florida storm - even help medically evacuated my husband to another country for medical care I don't think many people are using all the benefits of the Platinum Card when they complain about the fees. I used that card for EVERYTHING!!!
