Dear Men (And all y'all) I saw a post that essentially said women are not obligated to forgive men. The word obligated made me stop and read. I understood where she was coming from. She was hurt. I agree no one is obligated to forgive anyone, BUT IT IS A MISTAKE. It is a mistake not to forgive others, man or woman. Agency (the power of choice) is the most sacred attribute of being human. CHOOSING FORGIVENESS is WORTH it. My understanding of forgiveness is this (Part 1): 🪡

"Ultimately, forgiveness is a choice we make, and the ability to forgive others comes form the recognition that we are all flawed an all human. We all have made mistakes and harmed others. What if the wounds are too many, and too deep for the needle to reach each one and the thread just isn't strong enough to hold them all together because they're so deep? I do forgive, probably more than I should. And I do have a high tolerance of patience. These past few years have been the worst I've ever experienced in my whole life, and trying to bounce back from these extremely traumatic experiences is really hard.
