Not long ago, my youngest was at practice for the school musical. They took a 5 minute break and she went to use the bathroom during that time. Came back a minute after the break was over. A male teacher warned her that she needed to be careful about being on time or the teacher in charge of the musical would boot her out. My youngest is on her period. I’ve been thinking about this since that night, and I have some *thoughts.* 🧵

5 小時內	Beth bbaylz	Unfortunately, there is a saying in theater that goes, “If you’re early, you’re on time. If you’re on time, you’re late. If you’re late, you’re fired.” I was one minute late for a rehearsal once and, when I arrived, my understudy was already subbed in. It’s a concept I find extremely outdated, but it floats around out there. Perhaps someone can remind him to show some flexibility and understand that this is a school production. Kids are already so stressed. Cut them some slack!
