This was our house in Scripps Ranch as we loaded the car to evacuate in 2003. The fire stopped a block away and we are still in this house, and we are always ready to evacuate at any time now.

Goverment policies are mostly the blame for this. Forest fires have always existed. It isn't a new thing based on climate. It's not allowing certian builds to take place in specific areas, providing the adequate funding such as not cutting the fire dept budget by 17.5 million. It's providing the adequate water supply to those areas which there aren't any currently, it's allowing forests to be LINE cut to prevent fire spreading.

Democrats mismanaged our beloved state into this devastation. Not allowing new water reservoirs to be built since the 70’s, cutting fire department funding, blocking forest service management. Libs are at fault not the natural change of weather patterns.

Yeap California is for the rich now all us normal people they are forcing out. Don’t think it’s a coincidence that all these fires started on the widest day of the year

I love how people on here blame politics and not their own actions.. these fires are started by negligence and yet people will always point fingers at politics.. when you political morons get your heads out of your assess maybe you can do something more productive for your own community
