Homeschooler here and I agree with you 100%. The key word is "intentional" and it doesn't matter what you're doing, you can't expect the church to do all your gospel teaching for you. I think the "spiciness" comes from decades of homeschoolers being looked down on, criticized, mocked, etc. and now that it's becoming more common and accepted, some homeschoolers are feeling a little smug/high and mighty (they shouldn't). I could be wrong.
