I grew up as a bi-racial ‘gifted’ child in an Asian country. Moved to Australia for uni. Crashed and burned after 3 years of immaculate grades. Fell into relief teaching while I pursued all things creative which I never got to do in my exam-oriented childhood. Then decided to teach full-time for a couple years, fell pregnant, had a stillbirth at 36 weeks, and am now riding out my maternity leave getting therapy for complex trauma. Oh, turns out I may have autism too. Life is fun!
