The truth is: servers love the tipping model. Tipping allows American servers to make much more money than their counterparts in other countries. They guilt-trip people into paying absurd amount of tips, but in fact, if the are paid a “fair” legal wage, they will make much less money. Don’t give me bullshit about how the minimum wage is not enough to support their family. This argument can be made about any minimum wage worker.
